Archery Equipment Store In Dublin - Wooden Arrows

Mark Szoldan - 02:21pm Apr 1, 2006 Irish

Hi Everybody,

Do you know where can I find a store in Dublin that sells wooden arrows? I definitely do not want to order them on the net. I want to see them and check the quality. I am looking for cedar or lime wood, 28" long and 7 or 8 mm thick, turkey feathered and preferably traditionally fletched. I am also interested in the shafts only.

Thanks very much for your help.

Mark

Hi Stephen,

Basically I need arrows, but if I cannot buy them, I am also interested in buying shafts and feathers separatelly, so I could prepare the arrows on my own. The draw weight of my bow is 38# at 28" it could give an idea on the needed stiffness of the arrows. I dont know the international measurement units for stiffness but I am looking for III+ to IV+ stiffness by the scale we use in Hungary for wooden arrows.

Thanks for your help,

Mark

The nearest place to Dublin, that I know of, would be Shooting Style. Jim and Pauline Conroys shop (formerly "Carbofast") I know they carry a line of very nice wooden arrows. They're in, The butts, Reidstown, Trim, Co Meath. It's on the Summerhill to Trim road. They're also on the net, where you can find their phone details. Hope it helps, good luck.
