A Shot in the Dark....RIP

Shane Mc'Auliffe - 11:41pm Mar 22, 2007 Irish

Hi all, at this stage you may have guessed, that my attempt at reviving the newsletter has failed, unfortunately there was never enough news to fill back and front an A4 page. Its a shame. I do however have an alternative! Which i'd like to put out there in the hope for some input. I propose the production of either a BI- ANNUAL or ANNUAl quality print production on SALE to members with photographs and reports for shoots and events around the country, and a roundup of the events etc of the year we've had in archery. As well as some interesting International news, and developments on the world stage of archery. I think its the only way of providing any sort of publication for the Federation. It would however require written reports and pictures to be sent to the editor so it can be peiced togther, graudually at the end of the year. Any input into its content would be appreciated, and any feedback on what people think of the idea would be great! Regards, Shane Mc'Auliffe CFAC

Hi Shane I think this is a great idea as a yearly annual would be something us archery lovers would keep to look back on fondly when we are hovering in our zimmerframes and showing our grandkids our claim to fame when winning a rating shoot all those years before. I for one would be interested and would forward you on news from a Dunbrody prospective if this idea was endorsed. It would be imperative that people send you reports and info all throughout the year however to prevent pile up say in November when the time came to compiling it. The NFAS in the UK has a very good newsletter published several times throughout the year but i think a once annual newsletter would be adequate for us. Hope this idea goes ahead. Regards Andrew Wayland.
